Day Forty Four Wellington

Dragged kicking and screaming from the 5 star hotel.
Took the car to the new hotel and left it to explore Welly!  We're in a better location, closer to the marina, shops, bars and restaurants. The weather is cold and windy but sunny. Jeans and jackets on.
Stopped off for a brunch
Howard's lucky day. First the seagulls shat on him and then swooped and stole the bacon from his plate!
Went to the museum which had an amazing exhibition on about Gallipoli.

Huge exhibits of the soldiers telling their stories. Really realistic looking and really well done.
Seems to be the start of an arts festival here. Lots of activity erecting marquis' on the waterfront. Maybe that's why there's no accommodation.

All the events seem to be done in storage containers. All a bit whacky and alternative. Didn't stop at the water bar where you could get about 50 different waters including salt water!
Desperate for a curry for dinner. Checked online and found an Indian restaurant close by. Got a seat in the busy busy restaurant only to discover chopsticks, soy sauce etc on all the tables. OK meal but not curry! Dream on!
Start travelling again tomorrow, have a room booked in Napier, about a 320 km drive away. Accommodation sorted for one night at least.
