Day Fifty Eight Sanur Bali

Chill day planned. Woke up really early with all the time changes yesterday. Not the first in line for breakfast but not far off it!  Staff here all so friendly and helpful.

Went into town to get some cash. We were warned off going to the money exchange places because they do great scams when counting the money. Instead we were to go to the ATM booths at nearby McDonalds. There were two of them. We chose the one that didn't have two men sitting on the floor of it eating their lunch in the air conditioning. The machine only let us take out 1.500,000 rupiah - about £80. Hard to get the head round the money.

Continued down the town with every taxi, and there were lots of them, tooting at us to get their business. Crossing the roads was interesting with scooters coming from all directions. Apparently there's 10 scooters to every car in Bali!

Back to resort to talk to holiday rep about trips etc. We've picked the best part of Bali to come to in her opinion. Most like the 'real' Bali, warts and all. We agree, so far. Lovely people, chaotic streets, amazing flowers etc. Plan to do a trip in a couple of days.
Spent the rest of the day just relaxing, reading and basically doing nothing!  Discovered our deal on the resort does give us free afternoon tea between 3-5pm AND free cocktails from 5-7pm. We have a 'host' in charge of looking after us at the bar who was most insistent that on day 2 you had to have 2 cocktails. Well it would be rude not to, no?  Looking forward already to day 3!
Dinner at a cafe near us -  2 main courses and 1 big beer, one small beer - 250000 rupiah - £12 or less!  Night night.
