Dolphins were not looking too hopeful until one was spotted just close to Hyams beach. After that they came fast and furious. Mums with babies mainly. Totally amazing but also quite hard to photo (mainly due to lots of Chinese people on board with huge lenses on their cameras). However, this is a flavour of what we saw:
We must have followed them for about an hour. They were definitely showing off to us! The captain of the boat was very knowledgeable about them and named some of them. He obviously saw something we didn't because he was able to confirm that 'Casper' was in fact a male dolphin - they'd been calling him 'he' for 6 months without really being sure.
After that the boat crossed to the other side of the bay to the cliffs - Point Perpendicular, passing a warship and submarine on exercise duties
The cliffs were even more spectacular close up than from what we'd seen on the other side of the bay.
The captain took the boat in and out of tiny little coves as if he was driving a mini!
A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. All rounded off with fish and chips from the World Famous Fish and Chip in Huskisson, the town next to us.
G'day!

WOW again, this looks amazing. You are so lucky x
