The road was a bit of a challenge to our wee putt putt Hyundai car - in 2nd gear most of the time going uphill and slipping and sliding on the way down. No longer in the land of enormous eucalyptus trees but in tropical rainforest terrain with enormous ferns etc everywhere. Made it to the Fitzroy Falls which were impressive. Huge drop down to the bottom:
Had a walk about and did one of the well marked tracks so didn't get lost this time. Left my phone with the pedo in the car so no record of how many steps were taken!
Selfie's improving but there's meant to be a waterfall in the background!
On return journey stopped to buy a pie at the World's Best Pie Shop - couldn't argue with that-
drive over the oldest suspension bridge in Oz
Back over an even more windy road on the way home to a town called Berry. Again very quaint houses and shops but very busy. Lots of antique and craft shops with the occasional Bottleshop along the Main Street. Back to our town and decided to have one last swim in the Bay. First beach we went to was full of seaweed more than two feet deep in some places so went onto another one, Greenfield Beach. Played in the waves like a pair of idiots for a while then back to B&B to pack.
Have had a really relaxing time here and really enjoyed it. Tomorrow off to Melbourne for new adventures ....
