Day Twenty Three St Kilda

Flat is better in the cold light of day - but complete contrast to the B&B where we had the downstairs to the house to ourselves and the veranda looked out onto an enormous eucalyptus tree with nesting parrots coming and going.
St Kilda is a cute little town in the bay south of Melbourne. It turns out this week is a festival week celebrating the town's musicians, culminating on Sunday with an enormous festival, all the roads closed, concerts all over the place and 400,000 visitors coming to it!  No wonder accommodation was hard to find.
There's a nice sandy beach front, a big funfair, salt water swimming pool and a long pier.

Howie looking swarthy in front of the pier.

It seems fairy penguins nest here on the rocks at the pier side.  The parent birds come in at dusk so going to investigate that before dinner then try to find some live music.
Seems the Internet problem won't be resolved before we go on Saturday so blogging may or may not happen if anyone is reading this. If not, life will remain as normal for you!
