Day Twenty Six St Kilda new apartment

Change of apartment for one nght. Nicer flat but in a poorer location. Last one was dark and gloomy but close to beaches and restaurants. This one is brighter but lots of weirdos about!

Howard discovered the F1 Grand Prix is just across the road virtually (about 1km away) so wanted to see it, me less keen. However, uneasy being left alone with the druggies, I went too, off to Albert Park.
The Grand Prix is over a month away but already lots of preparations happening and lots of workmen doing 'things'.

The track goes round the lake. Again lovely weather and a different perspective to the city.

Lots of black swans on the lake and even ...

... a fossilised bike!

We walked right round the lake about 5km. Major sporting activities going on round the lake - cricket, tennis, golf, sailing, jogging, bowling, football etc. Easy to be active here, I think. Despite all the walking we're doing (12000 steps today) we don't seem to be shedding the pounds, quite the opposite, in fact.  In light of that, and getting a bit fed up of eating out, we found a Woolworths store and bought salad for dinner - and a low fat bottle of wine.
Cheers - back to the city tomorrow for a bit of luxury. More about that later ......
