Day Twenty Four Day Trip to Melbourne

Well, last night's penguin spotting wasn't quite what we expected. We waited for about two hours on the very busy pier. Watched the sun setting out at sea which was spectacular.

Loads of excited people waiting. Eventually we caught sight of about 3 babies waiting for the parent birds to come back. Unfortunately there's a no flash photography rule and the lenses of eager Chinese who don't travel in couples but in groups of 20 got in front of me!  Will try again another night but later!

Day out to Melbourne city by tram from St Kilda. Walked around the city without really a plan and hard to find a map anywhere. (Did I mention we've got no wifi so unable to consult Google?).

Trams in the city free so we were able to cover a fair bit of ground. Weather still lovely. We ended up in Docklands right in front of the Melboune Star so did what all good tourists do - paid the cash and jumped aboard. It was really quiet so got the pod  to ourselves.

Amazingly clear and we could see down to St Kilda.
Tram back to St Kilda to freshen up and go out for dinner - playing the game - hunt the restaurant with Wifi!  Tomorrow? Stay here, work on tan!  Bonzer life!
